E. L. Madsen of Salt Lake City was a guest of Pleasant Grove relatives Sunday. Mrs. Edna Poulson Church of Burley, Idaho, has been visiting the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Poulson. Miss Viola West, Mrs. Ethel west and son, Eugene, were in Salt Lake City last Wednesday to purchase a list of books for the Pleasant Grove library. Mr. and Mrs. Willard E. Tyler of Oregon City have been visiting the past week with Mrs. Tyler's brother. L. P. Harvey and family, and with her sister, Mrs. Harold S. Walker and family. r Cards are out announcing the coming marriage of Miss Genevieve Fugal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Fugal, and Harold Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum I. Wright, which will take place in the Salt Lakh temple, Thursday, June 18. A wedding reception will be given I in the Third ward amusement hall Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hayes of Provo were Pleasant Grove visitors Sunday. Charles Harris left last week for Scottsborro, Neb., where he will be employed the coming summer. Mrs. Opal West Harston has been visiting indefinitely wdth her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph West. Her husband, James - D. Harston. motored from Cowley, Wyo., recently recent-ly and they returned to their home Saturday. Mrs. Rose B. Hayes, who has spent the past month at the home of her brother, John Z. Brown of Salt Lake City, arrived horns Sunday. Sun-day. The Thud ward Relief Society entertained en-tertained Tuesday afternoon at a social in honor of Mrs. Delilah Fugal, Fu-gal, who has recently resigned as second counselor. Mrs. Margaret Shoell has accepted the position as second counselor in her place. Mr. John W. Anderson and Mrs. Lurlene James of Malad, Idaho, father and sister of Dr. G. Y. Anderson Ander-son have been visiting the past week at the Anderson home. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Walton of Salt Lake City are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Duanne Harper. Mrs. Walton and Mrs. Harper are sisters. sis-ters. The marriage of John Gilbert Broughton of Pleasant Grove, and Elaine Thornton of American Fork, has recently been announced. Mrs. Lucille Poulson Hillman of Mammoth is visiting this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Poulson. Mr. and Mrs. LefHer and James A. Nelson accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nelson to Kemmerer, Wyo., and returned Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nelson were en route to Jackson, Wyo., to spend the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Hauson and family of Eohralm, Mr. and Mrs. Amber Boulter of Price, and JVTr. and Mrs. Bastian of Provo were visitors vis-itors with Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand White and Mrs. Inez Olpin on Strawberry day. Mi-, and Mrs. Morris Buhler of Midway and Mr. and Mrs. Blood of Heber left Tuesday for Detroit. Mich. They will purchase a car and tour the important Eastern cities while en route home. to which 300 guests are invited. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Nelson of Troy. N. Y., are visiting with Utah relatives this week. While in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove they were the guests of Mrs. Leone Told and Mrs. Adeline Nelson, sister and mother of Mr. Nelson. Mr. Nelson leaves Saturday Satur-day for Denver, Colo., to be engaged en-gaged in summer school work. He is head of the commercial department depart-ment of Russell Sage college, at Troy, N. Y. 'Mrs. R. T. McClelland, Mr. E. Wedman and D. F. Dinkins of the National Parks Service, who have been surveying Tlmpanogos Cave, Middle Cave and Hanson Cave for several weeks, left for Springdell, Zion's canyon, for work there. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nelson left Monday for Jackson, Wyo., tospend the summer. Mr. Nelson will join a eroup of entertainers at the Log Cabin club and assist in providing music for dancers six nights every week. Howard snent last summer there and he looks forward to a pleasant vacation. Mr. Virgil V. Peterson left for Albuquerque, N. M., Wednesday June 10. where he has recently received re-ceived an assistantship in archeology archeol-ogy from the University of New Mexico. Mex-ico. He will leave the university on June 14, with an archeological party par-ty to do work in the state of Chihuahua, Chi-huahua, and will visit all Pueblo sites of importance in Northern Mexico. They expect to be gone at Iqast six weeks. Miss Mary Peterson w;as hostess at an attractive luncheon given at her home Saturday afternoon, in honor of Miss Genevieve Fugal. a bride of the near future. Mrs. Vi-lace Vi-lace Radmall. and Mrs. Virgil V. Peterson, brides of the late past. The table was covered with a beautiful beau-tiful cut-worked linen cloth, a bouquet bou-quet of pink roses adorned the center, cen-ter, from which pastel shades of ribbon led out to hand-painted place cards, w-hich were painted by Mrs. Reed Peterson.
