Show j Ten Years Ago j Now (Taken from files of June 12, 1926) Today the American Pork (ntizen, Pleasant Grove Review and Lehi Sun inaugurates a most stupendous Everybody Wins Something" automobile auto-mobile and gold gift distribution. Gifts approximating $4,000 including three big, handsome, speedy automo. biles and six hundred dollars in cash are to be distributed among the men and women in Utah County. By this method the papers hope to secure more subscribers, to enlarge their already large list and to secure renewals re-newals and also to make it easy for payment cf delinquent subscriptions. Ten Years Ago Now Despite the storms coming both days of the Strawberry celebration, the crowds returned in larger numbers num-bers each evening to enjoy the entertainment en-tertainment provided by the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce on this occasion. The parade was most successful, every float deserving of favorable mention. To the committee members, mem-bers, the Relief Society ladies and many others who untireingly labored labor-ed for many days, a large portion of 1 the day's success may be accredited. These public spirited citizens gave i freely of their time and energy in making the Fifth Annual Strawberry Straw-berry Day an unqualified success. Ten Years Ago Now G. Elroy Nelson who has been doing missionary work in the Hawa- iian Islands for the past three years returned to his home here last Saturday. Ten Years Ago Now Olof Monson, who has been laboring labor-ing in the Northwestern states mission mis-sion for the last six monthts, returned return-ed home Monday. Ten Years Ago Now There will be a special missionary program given next Sunday evening in the First ward in honor of Richard Rich-ard Marsh, who will leave soon for a mission to the Pacific Islands. |
