Show Two Accidents Occur on Highway High-way Monday Two accidents occurred on the State highway Monday morning. The first one occurred at 6 a. m. on the highway north of Lehi, just in front of the Harry Manning residence. res-idence. A bread truck, driven by Herman Rowley of Provo, going south, sldeswiixid a Ford V-8 driven by J. L. Dunkley of American Fork, who was traveling north. Andy Trane and Glen Trane of Lehi were riding with Mr. Dunkley. All three were en route to Bingham to work. According to reports re-ports the bread truck was too far over on the wrong side of the highway high-way and sldeswlped the Dunkley car. Glen Trane suffered a cut above the eye and the others escaped injury. in-jury. The back fender was smashed and four windows broken out of the Dunkley car. The second accident occurred at 8 a. m. Monday morning when Miss Gladys Kotter of Brigham City lost control of her car and it crashed into the electric light pole on the highway, Just In front of the Thomas A. Taylor residence. Miss Kotter was en route to Provo, where she is teaching in the B. Y. U. and the icy highway caused her to lose control of her car. It skidded skid-ded and era-shed into the pole, breaking break-ing it off and ran against another pole before it was halted. The car was only slightly damaged dam-aged and Miss Kotter escaped injury. in-jury. Following the accident she drove on to Provo. |
