Show REPUBLICAN TEA ENJOYED A well appointed tea was held Friday afternoon from 3 to 6 p. m. at the home of Mrs. Basil Walker when the ladies of the Republican party met to get acquainted with some of the county candidates. District Chairwoman Mary E. Cooper had charge of the program. Candidates present and who spoke were: Mrs. Pearl Bigler of Fayson, Mrs. Lucille B. Slaugenhoup of Provo, Pro-vo, and Samuel I. Goodwin of Lehi. all candidates for state representatives representa-tives Ernest Chadwlck of American Ameri-can Fork running for commissioner also talked. Ed M Rowe, county chairman, spoke and S. Alma Kirk- district chairman explained the amendments of the state con5t?tutlon: Katheryn Kirk gave a piano s Jo and Leora Walker and Bernedette Conway sang a duet. Refreshments were served. , Ladies from American Fork and Lehi joined with the Pleasant Grove ladies and all enjoyed the afternoon. |
