Show Pheasant Season Opens Sunday The pheasant and quail seasons have been definitely slated to open November 8, by Newell B. Cook, state fish and game commissioner. The pheasant and quail seasons were originally scheduled to open simultaneously with the duck season sea-son on November 1, but were moved ahead one week due to insufficient funds for enforcing both upland game and waterfowl laws at the same time. In most counties, the pheasant and quail seasons will run for four days. For the first time in history the pheasant season will be extended to four days in Utah, Juab, Carbon, Box Elder, Cache, Davis. Duchesne, Emery, Uintah and Salt Lake counties. coun-ties.
