ability as officers are unquestioned welock we look for a successful year in school city affairs after the election a grand ball was waa given which was participated in by all the students and a number of townspeople the result of the electron election was read during the dance ands and showed the following students to have been elected for mayor marion wooley for recorder mae lunt For treasurer thelma knell for committing mag magistrate istrate scott Ma matheson batheon theon for judicial judge francis esplin for 2nd and judicial i judge parson webster for councilmen council men first precinct alide leigh verna pratt for councilmen council nien 2nd and predict adam See emiller lucy eaglin for councilmen 3rd ard precinct eddie matheson laurn laura elder for councilmen ath precinct fernleigh gardner wilford griffin four for two or three years the students have talked of having placed on the face of the square mountains mountain a grea great t big A which could bo be seen fron all parts of the county and which would advertise our school to some of the students the affair has haa so seemed emed to drag but at last they have reached the goal of their ambition in this line and commenced the erects erection on of the letter A large crowd of students itu dents left lef t friday last for the mountain and spent two days working on the letter they have dug a trench forming the letter A and have filled it with rock and the whole will be whitewash which will cause it to show up clearly for a great distance the size of the letteris letter lette rais is estimated at feet from top to bottom and the spread of the letter at the bottom is about 75 ft the students of the B A C are a husky bunch and when anything in the line of hard rough work comes up for the school they all turn in with right hooi gooi will and finish the job before quitting proof of this is to be seen in the work they have done in building the letter A on the face of the square mountain social activities at our school are not suffering so far this year we have held several class parties as well as dances and the schedule for the balance of the year is such that we are assured of plenty in the way of entertainments funny how the kids shine up to instructor parry he is full of life and gets next to the students in a pleasing way wiy which holds their friendship in strong bonds of good fellowship thursday the old folks of cedar were were entertained in royal style being treated to loan an excellent program of musical numbers in the tabernacle after which they were taken to the ward hall and given an appetizing supper at the first table there were seated and at the second table in the neighborhood of 75 after th the supper the aged people again enjoyed a short program consisting of talks reminiscences songs etc after which they spent a short time dancing when they were taken home in automobiles all expressed themselves as having had an enjoyable day which will be long
