Show Auto burglars make the rounds Automobile burglaries in Park City continued this week as the Park City Police Department was again swamped with reports of goods stolen from cars. Tanya Weaver reported an automobile auto-mobile burglary April 22 to the Park City Police Department. According to her report, her car was parked in the lot at the Claimjumper Condominiums Condo-miniums when 16 cassette tapes were stolen. They are valued at $120. A Coalville woman, Wendy Richins, told police on April 22 that while she was shopping at Alpha Beta someone entered her pickup truck and took a purse containing several bank and check books. The missing goods are valued at $170. Lisa Gardemann was also the victim of thieves while shopping at Alpha Beta April 22. Thieves took a brown leather purse from her auto that contained personal items and $70 in cash. Scott Gatchell reported another auto burglary April 22. While his car was parked in the lot at the Pay Day Condominiums, thieves got away with his Olympus 35 mm camera valued at $135. Judy Foote's car was parked at 291 Park Ave. on April 21 when someone removed two sheepskin seat covers, four floor mats and broke the glove box. Her loss is valued at $310. Also on April 21, Joanne Stewart's Corvette was parked at 291 Park Ave. when the "Ttop" was removed from it. It is worth $1,400. Julie Haron's car was burglarized while it was parked at the Pay Day Condominiums on April 21. Two pairs of Vuarnet sunglasses are listed as missing. They are valued at $140. And Rich E. Stout reported the theft of a stereo cassette player from his car April 18 while it was parked at the Resort Center. The stereo is worth $100. Other items on this week's police blotter include a report by William D. French that a military-style parka and other personal belongings were stolen from the Galleria construction site on Main Street. A Tarzana, California woman, Penni Sue Potter, reported to police that the heat from the Depot fire damaged the paint and tires of her autos that were parked across the street at the Silver Queen. A 1980 Datsun 280 ZX and a 1976 International Scout are listed as damaged. The amount was not stipulated. A Salt Lake City man, Kerry W. Redding, 1275 Gillespie Ave., was booked in Summit County Jail April 23 for driving his vehicle on a revoked driver's license. Police pulled him over on Marsac Avenue, after they witnessed him drinking a beer while driving. A 33-year-old Park City man was arrested for public intoxication early Sunday morning, April 21, while trying to enter the Depot building after the fire. Police do not believe he was involved in the suspected arson of the historic structure. And on April 18, Lea McDill reported the theft of her 20-inch Schwinn 10-speed bicycle. The bike was last seen in her back yard on Woodside Avenue. It is valued at $100. In addition, this week Park City Police made one arrest for DUL Fifth Circuit Court Andrea Sharp, 510 W. Pay Day Dr. pleaded no contest on a DUI charge April 17 in Judge Frank Noel's Fifth Circuit Court. Sharp was fined a total of $400, ordered to work two days on a community service project and placed on six month's probation. Ivor S. Mclvor, 353 Claimjumper Condominiums, Park City, pleaded no contest to charges of possession of a controlled substance. A charge of possession of drug paraphennalia was dismissed. He was ordered to pay $150 in court costs and placed on six months' probation. Jerry Hoke, 353 Claimjumper Condominiums, Park City, pleaded no contest to charges of possession of a controlled substance. A charge of possession of drug paraphennalia was dismissed.
