I ' I "S" ? - - i ,.-' Nina Macheel will present a lectureslide show to new and old Friends of the Park City Library on Tuesday Feb. 19. The lecture will follow the group's annual meeting, which will be held over lunch at Zach's Grill. Macheel, who helped to organize organ-ize the recognition of 52 historic sites during Park City's Centennial Centen-nial rplobmtinn. will highlight several of them with slides and brief histories. The Miners' Hospital, the Coalition Mine Building, the Egyptian Theatre and Rossie Hill are a few of the historic locations she plans to discuss, said Jane Harrington, president of the Friends of the Park City Library. "We are anxious to invite as many people as we can to become part of the group," said Harrington, Harring-ton, who explained the volunteer nrf nni?ntirrc rronl ic to provide support for the library. Last year the Friends of the Park City Library raised $800 during its summer used-book sale. It also helped to sponsor several lectures and special activities for children, said Harrington. The cost for the luncheon is $6 Annual dues for the Friends of the Park City Library are $5. Reservations may be made by calling 649-7311. The officers of the Friends of the Park City Library, Nancy Witt, Nina Macheel, Gloria Johnson, Jane Harrington and Marilyn Bean, will welcome new members to the volunteer organization at a luncheon February 1!). |
