Susie Williams Resigns School Board Post Susie Williams has resigned resign-ed her position on the school board. Williams recently moved out of District 4 which she .represents and was, therefore, legally required to step down from her post. In a letter of resignation dated January 18, 1982, Williams explained she no longer resides within her representative district and was, therefore, complying with state law in submitting her resignation. She thanked her friends and neighbors calling her board position a "super experience." . Wiliiams also indicated she would pursue her interest in the school district by reminding remind-ing board members that "old school board members never die-they just hang around and cause trouble!" Board members indicated they would miss Williams. Member Ralph Hale noted her "expertise will be sorely missed." Williams' district encompasses encom-passes "everything north of the highway" relative to Highland Estates, Silver Creek, Jeremy Ranch and in general everything north of Highway 224 from Kimballl junction to Old Ranch Road. The board is accepting applications from interested persons residing within the district. Applications may be picked up at the district office. The application deadline dead-line is February 16. The board hopes to choose Williams' replacement by February 19. The office is a one-year term that is up for election this coming November. |
