Show r , , q mi mi MiiiMMiiiMMi i nifiTnii iTn Til '" ii City Gets Tough on Commissioners Last Thursday, the City Council became annoyed at Planning Commissioners who do not regularly attend meetings and agreed to a get-tough policy which hopefully will encourage a more responsible attitude on the part of commission members. The City Council decided if a commissioner misses two consecutive meetings without an excuse a resignation will be called for. When Commissioners regularly miss meetings, it becomes difficult to make decisions because a quorum is not present and also without attending the regular sessions, Commissioners may find il hard to keep up with projects and works in progress. Boot Hill Condominiumization Nodded The City Council approved last Thursday the condominiumization condo-miniumization of the Boot Hill, otherwise known as Sunrise condominiums on Monitor Drive. The units opposite the moderate income housing complex were built by John Price and one of them is the rented home of City Manager Arlene Loble. Snow Creek Annexation Petition Offered The City Council has received an annexation petition from the proposed Snow Creek development behind Mt. Air Cafe. The parcel known formerly as the Hanley Ranch is an unincorporated island surrounded by the City. Before the annexation can be approved a public hearing must be held. In addition the City must finalize conditions of annexation which call for the annexee to provide water rights or payment in lieu and make contributions towards the acquisition of park land, the fire and school districts. |
