RDA Hearing Set The City Council will entertain a second public hearing this Thursday on the proposed 1982 budget and project plans for the Park City Redevelopment Agency. Although long-term plans call for the expenditure of over $9 million dollars in the redevelopment area during the next ten years, this year's budget proposed spending $1,259,751.- $720,000 of the figure will be generated by tax increment incre-ment funding while an additional $449,538 will be loaned to the agency by the City. $15,000 will be generated genera-ted by interest income which is added to a carry over cash balance of $25,213 to complete com-plete the financial package. Over the year the RDA proposes to spend over $1 million on property acquisitions acquisit-ions which include a Main St. parcel, additional ground in Swede Alley and roughly a $500,000 down payment on the purchase of Marsac School. Plans also call for the installation of brick sidewalks side-walks on Main St. at a cost of $159,000. According to City Manager Arlene Loble, the sidewalk project represents the majority majo-rity of the physical work to be accomplished by the agency during the year. Loble added acquiring property is the first priority of the agency before massive improvement projects pro-jects can be undertaken. In the future RDA plans call for restoration of City Hall and an addition to the building, expansion and extensive ex-tensive landscaping in Swede Alley, landscaping and street furniture on Main St., and among other plans the renovation of the Memorial Memo-rial Building. The hearing begins at 5 p.m. January 21. |
