Show STREET CAR FARES TAKEN BY ROBBER Daring Holdup on Waterloo Line, In Which Two Desperadoes Take Part Salt Lake, Jan. 20 Two desperate holdups swung onto rapidly moving Waterloo street car No. 356 on Fifth East, between Eleventh and Twelfth South streets, at 12:58 o'clock this mcrning, as it was making Its last trip Into the city, held up and robbed the conductor, Philip J. Kunltci. of 31'J Eleventh East street, of $15.00, street car tickers and transfers and a gold watch valued at ?7, aud then swung olf the still fastly-movlng car and escaped in the darkness. As the car annroached the avenue the motor- man observed two men standing at the crossing as If they wished to board the car, and be slackened his speed slightly, The back car curtains cur-tains were down, and when the ear slackened speed Conductor Kunkel opeued the rear door to see If his supposed passengers had gotten safely safe-ly aboard. "Throw up jour hands and be quick about It," was the unexpected greeting greet-ing from the taller and seemingly older of the two men, noJther of whom was masked. As Kunkel saw no weapon he merely mere-ly smiled. This arouned the bad man's Ire and he snarled: "1 mean business." Roth highwaymen accompanied tho snarl with the rirawlnpr of revolvers.
