For tho first time In the history of thft company, the meeting of the 6tock- holders, which wn.? held In Jersey City j on Jan. 12, was thrown opon to tho public, and tho reporters were furnished fur-nished with copies of the detailed reports read at the meeting. This is In strong contrast to the course which has prevailed for many years past. The report dlscmsnes with much frankness all . tho recent difficulties through which the company haa rassed and tho Indictment of soma of ts employes for underwelghing, and says: "Your board has endeavored in every way to facilitate the investigations investiga-tions of tho government.
