In two suits filed in the common pleas court today, in whicli the state f Ohio la is plaintiff, and Ihe estate of William S. McKlnuon and his bondsmen during dur-ing his two terms of olfice as state treasurer are the defendants, $141,-f.os $141,-f.os Is asked. The suit Is the result of an Investigation instituted by Governor Gov-ernor Harmon some weeks ago. One petition Is filed to cover the treasurer's first term and another Xietltlon covers the second terra, In the tirst petition, covering terma during dur-ing part of which there was no state depository law. It is alleged the stale treasurer collected from "corporations, "corpora-tions, co-partnerships, associations and other persons," the sum of $97,-370 $97,-370 interest on state funds loaned to those corporations and judgment 19 asked for in this amount. Tho becond petition alleges the state treasurer collected $18,750 interest on state funds and Judgment Is asked In this amount with Interest |
