Show PHILLIP C. KOERHER DIES JHLOS ANGELES Word was received here this morning morn-ing of the sudden death at Los Angeles Ange-les of Phillip C. Koerner. a well-known electrician of this section and for a number of years a resident of Ogden. Mr. Koerner's death was duo to appendicitis ap-pendicitis of which he had a severe attack last Thursday. He was taken Immediately to a hospital for an operation oper-ation and died Monday evening. Mr. Koerner was a member of the local Woodmen of the World anil Is survived by a wife and two children, Caiiena. aged IS. and Leslie, aged 14. Mr. Koerner was 3S years of age and was a native of Mount Vernon, Indiana, In-diana, coming to Utah about twenty' years ago. where he was married to Miss Grace Kejllc. He was an expert electrician aud at various times held responsible positions posi-tions in this section. He was electrician elec-trician at the Ogden power house for two years and afterward went to San Francisco, where he was employed by the Southern Pacific company. Later he returned to Ogden and accepted a position at the Ogden smelter which he held for more than a year. About a year and a half aco Mr. Koerner moved with his family to Los Angeles, where he has since been employed em-ployed by the Southern Pacific company com-pany as electrician on the Limited. Mrs. Koerner and her children are well known in this city, she being a sister of Mrs. Ilattie Wade, principal of the Quincy school. The body will be brought to Ogden for burial, and later funeral announcements announce-ments w ill 'be made. |
