New York, June 15 With Mrs Francis Folsam Cleveland, widow of the late Grover Cleveland, called as a witness, the trial of Broughton Brandenburg, Bran-denburg, the magazine writer, on a charge of grand larceny, began In tho supreme court today. The charge grew out of the sale of a newspaper article w'hi.ch Brandenburg is alleged to have disposed of to a newspaper on the representation that ex-President Cleveland was the author. Mrs Cleveland Cleve-land arterward repudiated the article. Mrs. Cleveland, accompanied by H. S. Hastings, one of the executors under un-der Mr. Cleveland's will, arrived at Iho criminal courts building early today. She was dressed in deep mourning.
