Show JAMES NEWTON DIES AS j RESULT OF HEMORRHAGE 1 Salt Lake, June 15. James Newton, New-ton, 45 years old, who had suffered from a broken arm for 5 years, literally lit-erally strangled to death In his 'own blood In Liberty park Monday evening. even-ing. A hemorrhage so filled his lungs and throat that ho was suffocated. Newton had gone to the park to gather watercress, of which he was exceedingly fond. He .stooped over to pick a bunch when the blood rushed into his lungs and throat and be sank to die on the spot A bunch of watercress water-cress was found clenched between his teeth, when a postman, who was passing, pass-ing, discovered the body. Nearby was Newton's horse and wagon, awaiting to carry the man home. Consumption had gripped Newton ever since he had his arm broken in two places five years ago. The bones did not knit and the confinement weakened Newton's lungs. He wa3 compelled to carry his arm in a steel brace. ' A widow and five daughters survive.
