Show Weber Lassies Charter Special Train and Plan Big Celebration About 400 students of the Weber Normal college are enjoying an outing at the Utah Hot Springs this afternoon. after-noon. The occasion is Girls' day at the college. The student body chartered char-tered a special train of four cars on the Utah-Idaho central railroad and left for the springs at 1:30. They will spend th'e afternoon at the resort and will return early in the evening to enjoy a dance at the college. This morning a program was given at tho college. The day was turned oyer to the girls of the student body immediately after the morning devo-lows devo-lows : Piano selection Lucllo Tribe. Selection Girls' Jazz Band. Reading' Georgia Tate. Dance (Hornpipe) ...Jeanette Kay. "Revelations, Chapter 25" ...Vera Malan. Selection ' Jazz Band. Following this program, a lunch was served to all students in (he college dining room. Tho dance this evening is to be a formal affair. It is in tho nature of a leap year dance, as the girls have done the inviting. According to the committee in charge, this is to be the biggest affair that has been held at the college this year. Lillian Thatcher's Thatch-er's enlarged orchestra will furnish the music. Chairman of the comailttees In charge of the events are Arvilla Parry, generaly chairman; Luella Nichols, refreshment committee and Oa Jacobs, "Pairing off" committee. |
