Show GENERAL WOOD GETS NINE OHIO DELEGATES COLUMBUS, O., May 6 Major General Gen-eral Leonard Wood will have one of Ohio's "big four" delegates to the Re-j publican national convention. Official results of the recent primary announced announc-ed this evening by the secretary of tate show William H. Boyd, Wood candidate, can-didate, to have been elected by a plurality plu-rality of 959 votes over Harry M. Daugherty, Senator Warren G. Harding's Hard-ing's national campaign manager. General Gen-eral Wood thus will receive nine of; Ohio's forty-eight delegates, the others oth-ers going to Senator Harding. ' The official vole gives Senator Harding Hard-ing the presidential preference choice over General Wood by a plurality of 14,692. The vote was: Harding. 123,257; Wood, 10S,..j; Johnson, 16.7S3; Hoover, 10,467. Governor James M. Cox, unopposed on the Democratic ticket for the presidential pres-idential preference vote, received S5,-S3S S5,-S3S votes. Bryan, received 971 and Hoover 2S2. 9 |
