Show j t m Little Hip and Texas Comedy Four Provide Refreshing Amusement Outstanding on the program offered by Pantages vaudeville at the Or-phoum Or-phoum theatre this week arc the Texas Tex-as Comedy Four and Little Hip and Napoleon, two acts of delightful freshness fresh-ness and unbounded laughter. The Texas comedians form a team of men singers who can harmonize odd songs with unusual characterization. They j were called back repeatedly last even-i even-i ing by an audience appreciative of the novelty presented. Little Hip, a baby elephant, and Napoleon, Na-poleon, a chimpanzee that has attained ' fame in tho films, are stars in the ani-I ani-I mal act, and, under the guidance of Professor Anderson they go through a series of amusing stUnts in natural fashion. The animals are probably the best trained of any seen here in recent months. "Business is Business" Is tho title of the playlet put on by John K. Hawley and William K. "Saxton, the piece bringing in the laughable events of a dayflh a Jewish waist making firm. Gertrude Newman as the little jazz girl from Broadway and plays tho piano pia-no in pleasing style. Tho show is opened by the WInton brother's as ex- ponents of athletic strength. Bender and Meehan appear In a dancing act. The now screen magazine with a Hat of new and unusual events and a show- Ing of late fashions, closes the pro- gram. |
