Show TRAIN ARRIVES IN OGDEN 24 HOURS i LATE; SNOW FIVE FEET DEEP PILED ' m DENVER & MO GRANDE TRACKS i i Establishing a record for delay be-! be-! cause of show, Union Pacific train No. ; 21. scheduled to arrive in Ogden -yesterday morning at 10:20 o'clock, ar-'riyed ar-'riyed in Ogdcn this morning at 9:40 a. m., nearly twenty-four hours late. Train No. 21 is the Denver connection connec-tion of the Union. Pacific line. Passengers on the train reported that Denver is now in the grip of the most severe snowstorm experienced there in years. Because of the heavy 'snowfall, motorists wero forced to abandon their automobiles in tho streets of the city and walk to their homes, it is stated. Five feet of snow at numerous points on the railroad tracks were reported by members of the train ; crew. Train 21 for today is due to arrive lat 6:15 this evening, but railroad men i at the depot are of tlxc opinion that j this mark -vyil I be shifted ahead sev-j sev-j oral hours before the train arrives in j Ogden. I oN through trains from the Denver and Rio Grande road have arrived in ! Ogden for two days, it is slated, the (roadbed being under many feet of snow in many places. "Stub" trains, 'made up at Pueblo. Colorado, have been arriving in Ogden and handling business at points between Pueblo and Ogden, it is stated. Other Union Pacific trains are from two or five hours late today as the result of the snowptorm, it Is stated |
