Show Oiers Who Gave Up Maubeuge on Trial PARIS, April 19 (Havas.) The trial of Brig- Gen. Fournler, commander command-er of the French fortress of Mnubeuge. at the beginning of tho war, General Vlllo, Col. Charlier and other officers accused of abandoning their posts In tho face of the enemy by surrendering Maubeuge to the Germans in September, Septem-ber, 1914, began for the second time before a court martial. Goueral Maistre who commnnded the French army which conquered the lost remaining re-maining German positions in the Che-min Che-min des Dames, presded. The first trial was commenced in November, 1919, but the government requested a postponement, which was granted. |
