A Charlie Chaplin strolls about the huge hippodrome track, cutting c.i-i pcrs, politely tipping his rusty derby to center poles with such v niarkubb fidelity to the original "Charlie" that' the assemblage frequently doubts whether it Is not Indeed he. Clowning has changed considerably' durtng the past few years. i"mi c lltth more than an impromptu business, it has graduated to a stage where It Is designed after spec'fic requirement -just as exacting as those of a dramatic; star. Political occurences, follies of' the day. world-happenings, are all minutely studied for foundations on! whleh to tulld a burlesque, and the results are ample reward tor the pains! taken.
