OCR Text	Show Hampton Gets Stay; to Seek New Trial A stay of a few days has been grant ed Waller M. HamptoD. who is under sentence in the state prison for a tern, o' from one to twenty years after having hav-ing been conlcted of forgery, to enable en-able the defendant to file a motion for a new trial. The stay was granted by District Judge A. E. Pratt. The court issued an order to hold Hampton in the county Jail here pond-ling pond-ling the outcome of the motion for t new trial. Hampton was to have been taken lo the state prison yesterday.
