Inter-ests. It was declared that the quantity of vegetables grown each year -depends almost entirely on the amount of canned can-ned goods which tho canneries are enabled en-abled to sell under contract If the Utah canneries arc denied the competitive com-petitive field of Pacific coast points, by enforcement of a discriminatory freight rate which they cannot under any circumstances absorb, the farmers of Utah will not devote any considerable consid-erable acreage to this character of product, which In the past has brought them good profit and has added to the prosperity of nearly ayery county in the state. |
