Show SALT LAKERS AGAIN TRIP THE FANTASTIC SALT LAKE, Dec. 25 The bars ! having been lifted, hundreds of Salt Lakers spent an evening In ballrooms and dancing halls last night for the first time since the influenza ban against -dancing and other public gatherings ga-therings went into effect last October. Octo-ber. The number of persons who visited vis-ited the cafes and grills of the city was not as great as anticipated, though there was a fair crowd at each. Show houses, almost without exception, said that last evening was hardly the equal of other evenings earlier in the wcelc. Public dance halls held by far the greater number of devotees of the graceful arL At the Odeon dancing hall there was a large crowd. This . was also true of Bonneville park, where more than 900 persons tripped j to the music of the orchestra until af- ler midnight. Little less than 150 ot , those present were members of the j military service. The majority of s these were men from Fort Douglas, t although soldiers newly arrived from w other camps were not entirely lack- 9j ing. j |
