Show HHTICE TfiX I SfflEiM ESTATE . An affidavit and motion were filed in the district court today by District Attorney At-torney Stuart P. Dobbs, praying the court to order Mrs. Julia Kiesel, executrix exe-cutrix of the estate of Theodore Schansenbach, deceased, to appear before be-fore the court and show cause why certain cer-tain property of the deceased should not be appraised and subjected to the state inheritance lax. Accordingio the instrument, a valuable stamp collection, collec-tion, a gold watch, a collection of talking talk-ing machine records and a bedroom set were not included in the property left by the deceased and were not appraised apprais-ed by the inheritance tax appraisers who recently completed their work. The probable value of the property is $5000, according to the instrument. The stamp collection consists of two large books and its estimated value is said to vary from $1000 to $4000. The phonograph records are known to form one of the finest collections of grand opera records in the state and are valued val-ued highly, some of the records costing cost-ing as much as' $25 The bedroom set is valued at $G00 and the watch at $50. By the failure of the executrix to declare de-clare these articles -the state has lost appromixately $250 due from the inheritance-tax, according to ' Attorney Dobbs. The property was given to various members of the family after the death of Mr. Schansenbach. as personal keepsakes, and it is thought that the executrix did not think It necessary to include the articles in the estate of the deceased. |
