Show PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTL TUTION HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION RESOLU-TION NUMBER NINii . A Joint, resolution providing for an amend went to Section 4, Article 13. of tht Constitution Consti-tution of the State of Utah relating to tht taxation of mines and mining property and I the assessments of same. , Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Statu of Utah, two-thirds of all the members elected I to the two houses concurrinc therein ; I Section 1. That it ia proposed to amend I Section A, Article 13 of the Constitution of ths State of Utah so that tho samo will read as ! follows i ' Section 4. All metalliferous mines or mining min-ing claims, both placer nnd rock In place. ohaU , be assessed at $5.00 per acre, nnd in addition thereto nt n value based upon some multiple r sub-multiplo of the nt annual proceeds I thereof. All other mines or mininr claims and other Taluable mineral deposits, including ' lands containing coal or hydro-carbons, shall , be assessed at their full Talue. All machinery sed In mining and nil property or surfas Improvement upon or appurtenant to mln--j or mining claims, and the value of any surface use made of mining claims, or mining property j for other than mining purposes, shall bi ' i assessed at full value. The state board o! equalization shall assess and tax ail property , herein enumerated, provided that tho assess-ment assess-ment of J5.00 per ncre nnd the assessment of the value of any u,e other thnn for mlnJnfl purposes shall be made as provided by law. Section 2. The Secretary of State is herebj directed to submit this propojed amendment to trie electors of the State nt the next gen. oral election In th- mnnner prescribed by law. Section 3.
