Show I US IN ENGLISH . AT THE GITY HALL Ogden people have further occasion for prido in the civic and patriotic efforts ef-forts of her citizens by reason of the fact that T. Earl Pardoe is the conductor con-ductor of a class in English for foreigners for-eigners which, meets in tho city hall and is attended by a group o somo forty people representing nine different differ-ent languages, all of them keen to know how to speak the language of their adopted country' more perfectly, and to know the reason and manner of her government more clearly. At every assembly of the class a talk is given on some aspect of American life and ideals; the, address at last night's session was delivered by the Ttev. Godfrey Matthews. |
