Show REPUBLICAN CONVENTIONS AND PRIMARIES. Primaries and conventions of . .the Republican Party' of Weber county, Utah, are hereby called as folIoAVs: . Mass primaries on October 2. 191S, at S o'clock p. m., in all the election districts of Weber county for the elec lion of fifty-two delegates to the Republican Re-publican state convention, and the same number of delegates to the Republican Re-publican congressional convention for the First District, both to be held at Salt Lake "City, October 4. 191S, and for the selection of delegates to the Weber county Republican convention to bo held Saturday, October 12, 191S, at 10 o'clock a. m. in the Relief society so-ciety hall, Tabernacle square, Ogden City, Utah for the nomination of can" didates for one state senator and four representatives to the legislature and for the following county officers, to-Fit: to-Fit: County commissioner for a term of 1 years; county commissioner for a term of 2 years; county clerk and auditor; aud-itor; county treasurer; sheriff; county iecoraer; county assessor; county surveyor: sur-veyor: constable, Ogden city. To select a new County Central committee composed of one member from each of the election districts, as now existing, to serve for the ensuing two years. The apportionment of delegates to the state and congressional conventions conven-tions is on the basis of one delegate to each thirty votes cast for Honorable Nophi L. Morrjs for governor In 1916, and the apportionment of delegates to the county convention is upon the basis of one delegate to each 15 votes cast for Honorable George Sutherland for United States senator in 1916. The primaries within Ogden Citv will be held at the following places-Districts places-Districts in 1st ward at City Hall'. Districts in 2nd ward at 3rd ward amusement hall. Districts in 3rd ward at Mound Fort amusement hall. Districts in 4th ward at court house Districts in 5th ward at 5th ward amusement hall. The members of the county-committee of the districts outside of Og-1 den City will arrange a suitable place' for the holding of the primaries and give due notice thereof. J The chairman and secrelarv of each ' primary will certify the name of the person elected to the County committee commit-tee and also the names of the persons elected as delegates making separate certificates as to each convention. Voters who believe in the principles i of the Republican party and otherwise qualified are invited to attend and par-ticipato par-ticipato in the above primaries. ! The Republican party stands today ! for three things: J "First, to use every possible means to win the war now, "Second, foi a peace with victory and never a peace by a compromise' -bargaining of principles, which would violate American rights,! nterests and honor and make of our sacrifice a sacrilege to be made again by our grandchildren. 1 "Third, for a sane preparation now for the solution of the problems immeasurable im-measurable in their complexity and magnitude which will come after the war." Our party's candidates will be men of the highest Ideals; with vision of tho country's mission, with the highest high-est sense of Justice for all men and with a knowledge of affairs and an experience commensurate with their responsibilities."
