Show STATE LSI BOARD IS 10 ASSIST THE FARMERS Arthur Kuhn, well known retired merchant of Ogden, now serving as member and secretary of the state land board, while here today on business, busi-ness, said the board is aiding in every way in tho mobilization of tho state land resources. Thousands of farmers are needed in Utah, he said, and the land board is now working out practical plans for aiding every farmer who needs assistance, assist-ance, by extending a loan for devolop-purposes devolop-purposes equal to fifty per cent of the valuation of the farm after the title is clear. Large areas of good land, now uncultivated, un-cultivated, said Mr. Kuhn, are held by persons who are paying out on the land, who lack resourcos to develop it in crops. Other large areas are held by purchase, or otherwise, for speculative specu-lative Investment. Now is tho time, however, he said, for the cultivation of all land that will yield crops readily, and the state land board intends to assist in a substantial substan-tial manner. The board is preparing to make a complete survey of the Irrigation projects proj-ects in southorn Utah. In a few days, said Mr. Kuhn, news of importance concerning the board's activities may be expected. The members of the board are: R. E. Davis of Willard, president; Arthur Kuhn, secretary; C.
