Show f oo mm city to ' HAVE K GUARD BRIC&IAM OITY, April 20. Today a number of enthusiastic citizens of Box Elder county met la Judge J. D. Call's office and made all preliminary arrangements ar-rangements for the organization of a home guard In thla county. Thqse attending at-tending the meeting composed tho committee appointed at tho public demonstration and mass meeting held 1 last Saturday night, as follows: Judge Call, John P. Holmgren, Victor E. Mad-i Mad-i sen, Mayor John F. Erdmann, H. W. Valentine, W. J. Glenn, James W. Cot-, tam, John Y. Ferry, Dr. E. P. Coburn and Ephrlam White. Judge Call was named as permanent chairman and Miss Zola Call was chosen as secretary. To further the homo guard movement and rush its complete organization, the following committees were named: Agriculture, livestock and manufacturing manufac-turing W. J. Glenn of Brigham, John P. Holmgren of Bear River City and Charles W. Hall o Portage. Home guard and reoruiting Dr. E. P. Coburn, H. W. Valentine, Wynn L. Eddy and Lawrence Berk, all of Brig-ham. Brig-ham. Census and transportation Ephriam Whlto of "Willard and John Y. Ferry of Corinne. Secret service James Cc-ttam, Brig-ham. Brig-ham. Finances William Jensen of Brig-ham. Brig-ham. Publicity Victor E. Madsen, John F. Erdmann and John E. Baird of Brigham, J. A, Wixom of Garland and Alva D. McGuiro of Tremonton. . Another big mass meeting will be held Monday evening which will be addressed ad-dressed by Brigham H. Roberts and Adjutant General W. G. Williams of Salt Lake. |
