Applica- tlons for allotments of the $5,000,000.-000 $5,000,000.-000 bond issue have reached the treas- ury department in such quantity that the administration believes the success suc-cess of the issue Is already assured. Secretary McAdoo left the cabinet meeting early today to go before the house rays and means committee to explain the administration plans for the big bond issue. The committee already al-ready has a. tentative bill carrying out the ideas of the treasury department Under the measure congress would not fix the terms of the bonds but would leave the question to be determined de-termined by the secretary of the treasury treas-ury in accordance with money conditions condi-tions Already some of the entente nations , have asked informally for part of the $3,000,000,000 which the administration administra-tion would set apart for loans to those i governments. The governor of Idaho has telegraphed tele-graphed Secretary McAdoo that the state government is ready to take up some of the contemplated bonds.
