Owing to the long and unusual unus-ual winter, much hay and grain had to be fed to stock and the farmers for the first time In many years find themselves them-selves short of hay to feed their work animals while doing their spring farm work, and some, owing lo being out of hay, have had to feed the grain thoy kept for seed and aro, therefore, short. Tho various communities are fully cognizant cog-nizant of the necessity of planting over ov-er yavailable aero this year abovo all others, and ways and means will bo found to finance the spring work. One of the matters of business on-gaging on-gaging Mr. Hill's attention at this time and for which he came to Salt Lake, is a sugar factor)' for Rigby. Parties representing rep-resenting capital visited Rigby In January Jan-uary in the interest of such a project, and the Rigby people took tho matter up, with the result they have the necessary nec-essary acreage signed up to insure tho now factory. It will be erected by an independent concern and introduce competition In this line of endeavor into Idaho. The farmers have wolcomed the now people peo-ple into this field. This will mako the sixth factory in Idaho, and several more now are being promoted. |
