Show OGDEN COMMITTEE PLACED IN TOUCH WITH NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF NATION On Monday messages wero sfnt to Senators Smoot and King, notifying them that a committee on preparation and safety, with sub-committees had been formed in Ogden and Weber county nnd tendering tho services ol the committco to the government. This morning Senator King replied that the war department appreciated the ten-dor ten-dor and tho committeo on national defense de-fense will communicate with the local organization. Tho messages aro as follows: "Hon. William H King, United States Senato, Washington D. C: By authority of a monstrous mass meeting, meet-ing, of soveral thousand Wober county citizens, held two weeks ago, a committee com-mittee of fifty has been appointed to assist in mobilizing tho resources of the county men, food products, munitions, mu-nitions, etc., and to tender the services serv-ices of the committee and place it subject sub-ject to the direction of tho proper authorities au-thorities of the stato and nation. Our committee has fully organized and apportioned ap-portioned tho work among fourteen sub-committees, headed by active chairmen, namely: Agriculture and livo stock, other food products, manufactures, man-ufactures, munitions, census, recruiting, recruit-ing, secret service, home guard, medical, medi-cal, families of recruits, finance, high cost of living, transportation, publicity. public-ity.
