The picture is "Romeo and Juliet," featuring Theda Bara, America's greatest screen star. The success Miss Bara has achieved in this production "will astonish even her admirers ad-mirers and the lavish scenic inves-tures inves-tures secured by Mr. Fox for the production pro-duction brings gasps of admiration from the audience. Its a worth picture pic-ture with an excellent star and a fine supporting cast and will go down in history as being one of the best motion mo-tion pictures of the of the present day producers. The story in brief is as folows: "In Verona lived two rival families, the Montagues and the Capulets, between be-tween whom a feud had existed for many years. Romeo, son to Montague, met and fell In love with Juliet, daugh. ter to Caulet, and the two were secretly secret-ly married. Immediately after tho ceremony, Romeo became embroiled in a duel with a cousin of Juliet, nnd kiled him. The result was that the young nobleman was banished,, and had to leave his wife of a day. Meanwhile Mean-while old Caulet had arranged for his daughter to marry another man, Count Paris. Rather than do this, Juliet took a sleeping potion. Her parents thought her dead, and placed her in the family vault, where Romeo, hearing that his wife was dead, found her. Overcome with grief, the youthful youth-ful Montague took poison. Juliet, on awakening from unconsciousness, learned what had happened, and ended end-ed her life." |
