Show INDIANA MOTORISTS PAY $781,498 IN FEES. Indiana for the first six months of 1916, received $731,408.96 in motor vehicle ve-hicle licenses. Of this total sum $4S,-596.51 $4S,-596.51 waH spent for administration, leaving S6S2.902.42 to be distributed-to distributed-to the counties of the state for road construction and maintenance. The license li-cense law provides that the net income in-come from the sale of licenses shall be divided among the counties as follows: fol-lows: One-third of the total to be distributed equally among the counties; coun-ties; one-third to be distributed pro rata according to the number of miles of improved road In each county one-third one-third of the total to be distributed i pro rata to the total amount pf license money received from each county. oo |
