( I The The Phi Kappa Iota fraternity entertained Tuesday evening at a "Rush" party in the Woman's Gym. Dancing was feature of the evening's entertainment and later a buffet supper sup-per was served in the dining room. Thirty couples were present. Friday evening tho Alpha Delta Epsiloons entertained at cards for the Theta girls, and their "Rusheos," at their fraternity house on Second North. Delicious refreshments were served. The Sigma Theta Phi Sorority will entertain Sunday evening at a birthday birth-day dinner in honor of the fourth anniversary an-niversary of the Sorority. Tho house decorations will bo in the Sorority's colors, green and white. The same color scheme will be carried out in table decorations, place cards and other oth-er details of the dinner. Covers will be laid for 25. The Sorosis girls were hostesses this afternoon at a tea from 4 until 6 at the Sorority house in compliment to the patronesses and the pledges of the Sorority. The house was artistically artis-tically decorated In red and pink 'roses. In the dining room a yellow color scheme was carried out in all the decorations. Fortune-tell- 1 ers in Gypsy costumes had a prettib' arranged booth, where they revealed aj the secrets of the future to the young 1 dancers. President and Mrs. Jensen 1 and the faculty members with their ffi wives were the patrons. About 400 m were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Thompson and family and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Shepard and family motored to Ogden Sunday and spent the day. Dr. and Mrs. George H. Hill have returned from Salt Lake, where they have been visiting with relatives. Mrs. Reed Smoot, who has been tho guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ariel F. Cardon for two weeks, returned to her home in Salt Lake Monday. Mrs. Landis of Baker City, .Ore.,, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Flem-niing Flem-niing during the week. Mr. John F. "Bunny," Wooley, who is teaching school at Monroe, was visiting vis-iting friends here during the week. Mrs. L, J. Moore will leave Monday for Denver to visit with her sister for two weeks. On her return she will go to San Francisco to join Mr. Moore, where they will make their fu-turo fu-turo home. Mr. Clair McAlIstcr returned to Salt Lake Tuesday, after spending the week visiting with hiB mother, Mrs. J. A. McAlister. a Mr. and Mrs. Frank Palmer announce an-nounce the engagement of their daughter, daugh-ter, Mai'ie, to Mr. Jack Newbergor. The marriage -will take place Novem ber 15. Miss Fanny Crockett returned to Brigham City Mondny after spending the week end here with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Alder and daughters, daugh-ters, the Misses lone and Lydia D., of Salt Lake, spent Wednesday and Thursday in Logan. Mrs. Jack Hyde and children of Salt Lake are at the Hotel Logan for the week. Mr. C. W. Nibley. Jr., has gone to Nevada on business. Mrs. Stonely Jonneson of Salt Lake is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George T. Benson. Mr. Vern Crockett was an Ogden visitor during the week. Mrs. Lizzie McKay Hill, Dr. Frederick Frede-rick and Professor Hogenson leave Monday evening for Vernal and Roosevelt, Roose-velt, where they go to conduct the In stituto of tho Agricultural College. The marriage of Miss Kinnie Benson Ben-son and Mr. Robert S. Holbrook took place Wednesday mrning in tho Logan Lo-gan temple. Immediately following the ceremony a wedding breakfast for tho immediate family, was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Georgo T. Benson on West Second North street. The house decorations were in pink and whte roses, carnations and chrysanthe. mums. A large cut glass bowl of the pink roses formed a beautiful centerpiece center-piece for the breakfast table. Covers were laid for twenty-two. Assisting iu the" dining room were the Misses Genevieve Thatcher, Dell Crockett and tAddio Parkinson. A reception for the relatives and a few friends was given 4 until 6. The Misses lone and Lydia Alder presided at the punch bowl.
