Show Henry Ostrom's Views Someone speaking of the Evangelistic Evangelis-tic Campaign the other day said that he could select any one of a half dozen features and It would be a real revival in itself alone. He saw very well what this work is intended to do. Wo desire to see the whole life of a city uplifted and ennobled. We believe be-lieve that the long-tested simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ is sufficient suffici-ent to do this. The automobile, the telephone and organized business make it possible for us to reach farther farth-er and swifter than could have been done In former times. And all that has been accomplished so far bids fair to prove only the beginning of a new epoch in tho history of the growing grow-ing city. The following, features have impressed me specially In the Ogden campaign: . 1. Tho MaBB Meetings for Men, from the day Mayor Heywood presided, presid-ed, never falling down one week, and reaching their climax last Sunday. 2. The scores of Home Prayer Meetings, affecting favorably the spirit spir-it of neighborllnes8 and godliness. 3. Tho Aged People's Meeting and the Meeting for Mothers, both the attendance and spirit of those services "wero decidedly impressive. 4. Tho Music! Tho regular chorus and the Children's Choir havo beon tho means of sending forth an atmosphere atmos-phere of melody which in the hornet and churches is likely to remain for a Jong time. They have Introduced tho best of tho latest in hymnology. This will not die out. 6. The Extension work has equaled anything I have seen anywhore. Both In the factories and in places of study and In other public institutions these services have been given a remarkable remark-able welcome. 6. The conversions have been continuous con-tinuous from the early hours of tho undertaking. Doubtless the churches will receive many new members. This seems to bear the stamp of permanent value. 7. The service of March 30th when so many young people publicly volunteered volun-teered as preachers or missionaries I consider phenomenal. All In all we conclude that this event Is from tho God of all grace, a gift to tho city. Certainly it has not! K been duo to any skill of mine, andVK Messrs. Reitz and Rockey who ac-P company mo would as certainly sayiB that It is not due to any skill of theirs. , K Let me thank the Press for many ' W courtesies. Let mo record my appro-1 B elation of kindnesses shown both by, members of these federated churches m and those not connected with them. K And let mo suggest a city-wide E Thanksgiving to God that ho has per- I mitted us to live in such a time In 1 1 this rcmarkablo city of tho hllH. When h I wo shall have come through next f I Monday night we are sure to look for-t I ward saying "the host Is yet to be,"!l what we have seen Is but a beginning i and it will not be easy to say thei? parting word as we leave this greafclaf commercial center of Utah.
