Show CLOSli SEEKS OF ' THE MIL I OH A remarkable meeting was held last night in the parlors of the First Congregational Con-gregational church when the church officers, together with their wives, representing all the churches federated in the movement, met with the Evnn-gelist Evnn-gelist Henry Ostrom for a picnic lunch and to hear what he had to say about conserving the results of the campaign which is now drawing to its close. It was the first time in the church history of Ogden that the officers of so many different denominations met together for supper and the spirit spir-it of unity was so fine that It was hard to tell who was who; the Methodists Meth-odists were mixed up with Presbyterians, Presbyte-rians, the Baptists and Congregatlon- alists were laughing and eating with all the others and 't was a peaceful scene, to say the least. After a orlef and stirring talk by Mr. Ostrom, they all went to the tabernacle for tho night service which was one of the best held so far, Mr. Ostrom giving his great address on "The Eternal Cross." Sunday and Monday will be tho closing days of the special meetings. Tonight there will be a special service serv-ice and the meeting Sunday afternoon after-noon will be for both men and women. |
