Show UYMERG0MMBD1K LftBORS OF THE MMISTER C. C. Michener. From my observations of the work of Mr Ostroni, I think tho following are some of the outstanding facts in connection with the undertaking First, It has created a clty-wlde interest in-terest In Christian things. Second, It has demonstrated that people of different faths have worked together with a common Interest in all tho people. Third, it has been another proof of tho reality and power of Christ in present-day life and in the conversion of large numbers of our people. (Signed) C. C. Mlchener. S. W. Wherry. For a man of Dr Henry Ostrom's power and filled with tho love of God as he is to labor among us for a month can not but help make a bigger and better Ogden. Men in every legitimate walk of life are bound to fpel the Influences of these meetings for ages to come. As Dr Ostrom has endeavored to Instruct In-struct us in an everyday Christianity (Signed) S W. Wherry. William Westenburg. There are many reasons why tho city of Ogden should be thankful. The blessings of God's common grace have been and aro abundant. Surely His name should be honored and glorified. glori-fied. But think for a moment of the special grace He has bestowed upon the people in these past four weeks During these revival services many of God's children have been edified, those who went astray from the paths of righteousness have been brought back and many who were not con-cerned con-cerned about their spiritual welfare have come to see the folly of their way and turned to the Saviour This city is not Ogden of four weeks ago. Our responsibility is greater. Individually Individ-ually we shall have to glvo an account as to what we have done with this special message of salavation, whether wheth-er ve have heard it or not. Now is the accepted time, today io the day of salvation (Signed) William Westenburg, pastor. W. E. Archibald. An entirely new experience for Oc- den. Absolute faithfulness to God's word, no holf-hearled piesentation of the gospel, "Ye must be born again," tho keynote, and withal a sincere, devoted. de-voted. Christian spirit that has brought to many a .higher conception of what It means to be a Christian; and has led many, and will lead many more, to a saving knowledge of the Christ. (Signed) W. B. Archibald. E. P. Mills. The purpose of government is to make it easier to do good and harder to do wiong on the part of the governed. gov-erned. It seems to me that this series of meetings has to a large degree de-gree accomplished tho function of government. Having no hysteria or emotional spree to recover from, the moial and spiritual uplift not only to those who have attended the meetings but the wholo city has received will bo a great force In every good thing in our city. The plans being perfected perfect-ed to conserve the uplift of this movement aro to be a great moral and spiritual asset to Ogden. (Signed) E. P. Mills. C. E. Smith. No true citizen of Ogden can fall to recognize the fact that the city has had In its midst one of unusual fidelity to all that is for our good, in the person of Rev. Henry Ostrom. Kind and gentle as a loving mother, but absolutely fearless and uncompromising uncom-promising with sin, he hurls the anathemles of Heaven against it like a thunderbolt. (Signed) C. E. SMITH. |
