II. 9 Baurnunk figured In the capture of j Conrad Wilson and wore partly re- sponsible for the arrest of Lawrence l Moulding and Joe McQuade, who. they I allege, attempted to use tho phys'l- I clan's automobile last night, without B his permission. The physician and the lawyer had 9 gone to the Melntyre drug store, leav- 1 ing the automobile standing In trout fl of the First National Bank building. When they started to cross the street I again toward the car, they noticed S three .youths near tho car. Surmis- 1 Ing from their actions that tho young I men were tryl"K to make away with I It, the owner and Attorney Baurnunk decided to wait until they had nearly carried out their designs. The two "Sherlocks" crossed to the Utah National bank, corner and saw two of the youths get into the automobile auto-mobile and the other one attempt to crank tho machine. Realizing that the time had come- to act, they made a run for the car. McQuade and Moulding, according to the attorney, caught sight of them In time to "be on their way," but Wilson, being occupied oc-cupied in front of the car, did not see them and was caught, virtually with his hand on the crank. The other two youths were pursued, but were too fleet of foot for their pursuers, pur-suers, and for the time being escaped. They were later traced by membors of the police department and taken into custody. |
