Show Deaths and Funerals SALT John Waldron Salt, an employe em-ploye of the Southern Pacific railroad rail-road for the past 25 years, died yea terday afternoon at the family residence, resi-dence, 650 West Twenty -first street, from cancer of the stomach. He had been ill for the past two years Mr. Salt was born at Berkshire, England, Eng-land, March 12, 1865, the son of Thomas Thom-as and Annie Salt. He immigrated to Utah as a Mormon convert in '886 and settled at Hooper. He mcved later to Salt Lake City, then to Bingham Bing-ham and then to Ogden and had been a well known resident of this city for a number of years. He was an achve member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from (he time of his conversion until he was incapacitated by illness from attending attend-ing to his duties He was a hiEhop for many years at Bingham and was also a member of the Woodmei of the World lodge The surviving relative rela-tive are his mother. Mrs AnnJt W. Singleton, his wife, two brothers. Wil-lian Wil-lian T. Salt of Ogden and Chxrlee Salt of Seattle, two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Jen-nie Drew and Mrs Edith Thompson of Welser, Idaho; and the following children Alfred. Earl. Ruby. Mooni, Edith. Irene and Edwin Salt. The funeral announcements will be nade later. HUNTER The funeral of D 4D. Hunter will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. in the Llndquist chapel with Rev J. E. Carver officiating. The bodv may be viewed at the chapel this afternoon and tomorrow until the funeral hour The Woodmen of the World will conduct their ritual service at the grave.
