Show FIGHT RESULTS IN A JAIL SENTENCE W. F. Newton was given an alternative alterna-tive sentence of a 10 fine or ten days in jail, by the municipal court judge. He was arrested last night with Henry Johnson and Charles Fay following an altercation with J. H Darlington at Hudson avenue and Twenty-fourth street. The three were charged with disturbing the peace, but, according to the evidence, Newton New-ton alone was guilty The charge; against the other two men were dis missed George MePhee was tried on a charge of drunkenness and had his case taken under advisement. He was arrested at the suburban railway terminal on Twenty-fourth street last nicht by Patrolman Shaughnessy. James McFarlaud entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of drunkenness and had his case set for tomorrow morning. |
