I MOIRER GONE I Brigham City, Jan. 6 A deplorable1 case of desertion was discovered at I Tremonton today by juvenile officers I of the First judicial district, who re-j re-j t imed from the Bear River valley tonight to-night after having spent the entire 1 day there in straightening out the I case. The officers, Judge H. A. Ped- ersen of Logan and Chief Probation Officer J. F. Browning of this city, i were summoned to Tremonton after I It had become known that a Mrs. j Steed had fled, leaving a family of six small children In pitable circumstances, circum-stances, without food and fuel. The Jmr woman is said to have gone to Boise, f ! Idaho. I . It is said that before leaving Mr Steed sold many aluable articles bell be-ll longing to the farm, from which H source she procured funds for her de-J de-J parture. I The deserted children's ages range H from 2 to 15 years, and when the offi- I cers entered the home yesterday the J sight was almost unbearable.
