Show Society FIVE HUNDRED CLUB. Tomorrow afternoon, Mrs. E L. Van Meter will entertain the ladles of the Five Hundred club at the Reed hotel. FROM SALT LAKE. Mrs. G. V. Savage and daughter Ai-leen Ai-leen of Salt Lake are In Ogden the guests of Mr. and Mrs. William P Brown on Madison avenue. HELD PLEASANT MEETING. A pleasant meeting of company C of the Daughters of Pioneers wag held at the home of Mrs. Harriet Jenkins, 121 Twenty-seventh street, Tuesday afternoon, with Mrs Mary Browning in charge. The history lesson was read by Mr.-Oralie Mr.-Oralie Baker, after which Mrs. Mary Ensign gave a short, but Interesting sketch, of the life of pioneer Emmellno Wells A sketch of the life of Dlo- neer Robert McQuarrie was given by Mrs. Sarah Rushton and Mrs. Marv Browning read a sketch of the life of pioneer George Parker. A delightful social hour was spent following the program, and Mrs Jenkins, Jen-kins, assisted by Mrs. Emily Riley served a delicious luncheon. Seeral vocal selections were given b Mrs. Lottie Heed and Mrs. Myrtle Ballln-ger Ballln-ger Higley. Elvira Rich of the general board was a visitor of Company C. THIMBLE CLUB. Thimble Club of No. 581 Women of Woodcraft will meet tomorrow afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Ransom. 2319 Grant avenue. RETURN FROM MEXICO. Mr. and Mrs. C. Peterson have returned from a three-months' trip to Southern California and Mexico. |
