Show BUSY SCENES AT GALVESTON 470 Refugees Released From Quaranteed on Battleship Connecticut. AVIATORS ARRIVE Three Lieutenants and Forty-one Forty-one Men, With Biplanes Report for Scout Duty at Vera Cruz. Galveston, Texns. April 30. Galveston Gal-veston welcomed the four hundred and seventy refugees released today from quarantine on board the battleship battle-ship Connecticut, which brought them here last Sunday from Vera Cruz and Tampico. The work of disembarking proceeded slowly and It was late In the morning before the last refugee was brought ashore. The corps of army aviators, with Lieutenant Foulois of the Seventh infantry in-fantry in charge, renched Galveston early today on a special train from San Diego, Cal. The aviators are prepared for scouting duty in Mexico and expect to be sent to Vera Cnu on the next departing transport. Besides Lieutenant Foulois and two other lieutenants, were forty-one men. There were three biplanes on board the train and three additional ma chines arp on their way here from the factory The craft were unload-en unload-en at once and taken to Fort Crockett, Crock-ett, where they will remain until or dered to Mexico. |
