Show AWARDS JT CONTEST ED IT IE ACADEMY I A larg crowd attended the Weber stake Y. M. and Y. L. M. I. associations asso-ciations contest, which were held in the Weber academy last night. The program was held under the direction of Judge William H Reeder, Jr . and the following acted as judges: Miss Lucille Thurraan, Roswel Bel-nap Bel-nap and J 0 Willis The winners of the oratory contest was Miss Julia Noble. The title of her oration was "Walt Whitman." Miss Mary Campbell Camp-bell was given first place in the Junior Ju-nior retold story contest, with "The Cow With a Tall," and Miss Leah Pardoe won the senior retold story contest with "The Happy Prince." The program was carried out in an excellent manner and the work of all who participated was praised and applauded ap-plauded by the audience. The oration ora-tion by Miss Noble and the story telling tell-ing by the Misses Pardoe and Campbell Camp-bell was especially fine and. in awarding award-ing them the first positions, the jud pes praised their work highly and the decisions were received with popular favor. Junior Re-told Stories "William Tell," Edith Bartlett; "The Trimmed Lamp," Bernice Hull: "The Man Without With-out a Country." Marguerite Norton , "The Cow Without a Tail," Mary Campbell. Senior Re-told Stories "The Gift of the Wise." Man' Jones, "Robert of Sicily," Josephine Foulger, "Polls Anna," Helen Mack; "Why the Chimes Rang."
