associated WENT ON STRIKE POWERS THAT BE THE KEYS BE SILENT standard examiner deprived of tele graphic reports must depend upon other news in response to the authoritative call of the powers that be the associated press operators of the standard left their keys and went out oa strike in obedience to the order at just monday all over tha country every associated press mem ber did the same thing As a result this paper together with all the morning and evening papers with one possible exception in this maln region that depend upon the As soc press for their service was materially handicapped the excel ution Is fortunate in being on tho hearst special wire service not only will the newspapers and the reading public suffer but tha business worlds inconvenience will be great the banks and large business concerns including the wholesale houses in this city have become accustomed to do a great amount 0 their business by wire the transfer of funds by wire anil the failure to receive important messages that have already been started on their way will be the chief interference as far as the banking institutions are concerned the transfer of funds will have to be done tor a time at least by mail and while it is going back to the old way people will have to get used to it in the case of the business houses generally the inconvenience will manifest itself in necessitating a reduction of communications to a mall order basis
