Show MAN IN JAIL HAS FAMILY PRIDE tI John Anderson pleaded guilty in police po-lice court this morning to the charge of petty larceny, but explained that he did not know that the coat and fehlrt which he had taken were owned by any one He told the court that he had been robbed, by some fellow-box fellow-box car passengors about six weeks ago and they had pushed him off the train His skull was fractured and his collar bone was broken by the fall. Lack of money prevented his having theso injuries treated correctly correct-ly and consequently he was in such a bad shape that he could not work. He saw these articles In the yards of the Utah & Orogon Lumber company, com-pany, and appropriated them for his use. His folks In Minnesota could take care of him but he did not want thorn to know of his predicament Judge Reeder took his case under advisement and In the meantime tho citj physician will look after the unfortunate un-fortunate man. Tom Collins was fined 5 for begging. beg-ging. Collins is a cripple and al-legos al-legos that he was not begging, but that ho was selling shoe laces. Patrolman Patrol-man Coonoy testified that Collins was begging from all who passed, and that as soon as ho obtained money, It was spent for beer In the nearest saloon. |
